What an account brief is, what it should contain, and why a one-page brief beats a bare company name before a cold call or demo.
An account brief is a short, structured summary of a single company prepared before outreach or a call: what they do, why they're likely a fit, and what to actually say. It's the difference between a rep calling with just a company name and logo, and a rep calling having already done five minutes of homework, compressed into something they can scan in thirty seconds.
Reps without a brief either skip research entirely (and it shows on the call) or spend ten to twenty minutes per account manually piecing one together from LinkedIn, the company site, and a news search, which doesn't scale past a handful of calls a day. A brief that already exists when the account lands on their list removes that bottleneck without removing the research.

An account brief is typically generated after a company clears your fit score threshold, it's the research layer on top of the ranking.
